In the 1980s Georg Meller worked for the German Development Service (DED) in Asia and built up vocational training systems in rural regions. As a master craftsman, he trained young people there in manual professions and supported them as a mentor in setting up their own business. As a result, he learned at a young age to support people in their development and help them achieve economic success.
