Fujian Fuzhou No. 8 Middle School

Fuzhou No. 8 Middle School in Fujian Province is located in Baofu Mountain in the foothills of Jixiang Mountain. Its predecessor is the Fuzhou Private Wenshan Girls’ Middle School founded by the American Congregational Church in 1853 (the third year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty). It is the first batch of modern class-based schools in my country. . In 1952, the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government took over the Wenshan Girls' Middle School, and at the same time received some teachers and students from Fuzhou Private Kaizhi Middle School and Fuzhou Private Ronggong Middle School to form Fuzhou No. 8 Middle School. After several generations of unremitting efforts, Fuzhou No. 8 Middle School has continuously expanded its school scale and steadily improved the quality of education and teaching. The school was identified as a key middle school in Fuzhou in 1958. In 1959, the college entrance examination score jumped to the second place in the province. In 1960, it was awarded the advanced unit of the national education system, and it has since become one of the best middle schools in Fujian Province. In 1980, it was identified as one of the first batch of 17 provincial key high schools to be established. In 1995, it was rated as a first-level standard school in Fujian Province. In 2000, it was awarded a license by the Ministry of Education and recognized as a national modern educational technology experimental school. In 2002, he was awarded the "Fujian Province May 1st Certificate". In 2003, he passed the provincial evaluation and acceptance of the first batch of demonstration general high schools in Fujian Province with the highest score. In 2005, he passed the evaluation of Fujian Province's advanced schools for quality education with high scores. It was established as the "National General High School Physics Curriculum Standard Textbook Experimental Education Base". In 2006, it was designated as the experimental sample school for the new curriculum of high school by the Provincial Department of Education, and at the same time as the "National Experimental School for Information Technology and Moral Education in Elementary and Secondary Schools". The school party committee was awarded the "Fujian Provincial Basic-level Advanced Party Organization" in the same year. In 2009, it was awarded the titles of "Fujian Province's First Batch of High School Sports Characteristic Schools" and "Fujian Province Sports Traditional Schools". In April of the same year, it was named "Fujian Province Language Standardization Model School". In 2011, the school won the honorary title of "Fujian Civilized School" again. In 2012, he was awarded the honorary title of "2009-2011 Advanced School of Moral Education in Fujian Province". The school’s advanced educational concepts, successful management and reform experience have been fully affirmed by visiting colleagues, experts and leaders. To this end, Comrade Chen Zhili, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress, State Councilor, and Minister of Education, also wrote an inscription for the school "Insist on educational innovation and cultivate high-quality talents."
