We - the Wilhelm-Röntgen-Realschule - are a school in the center of Dortmund and. If you walk through our building for the first time, you will quickly recognize the shape of the hexagon on which our mission statement is based. Both are supported by six basic pillars, which should help everyone involved to achieve their goals. Teaching is our core business. However, in addition to the sustainable transfer of knowledge, we are expanding the lessons with the necessary skills that allow the students to mature into holistically educated young people. This can only be achieved with a lot of commitment , always achieving the best. Being engaged works in mutual give and take, so that our students are encouraged again and again to get involved in everyday teaching and beyond. This adds to an atmospherewhere learning and teaching, playing and working, painting and singing, laughing and crying - can ultimately be lived. So we work every day anew to create an atmosphere in which everyone can feel comfortable. Diversity makes us colorful! Every day, numerous nationalities and different personalities meet peacefully in order to learn with and from each other. As colorful as our student body - we also present ourselves as diverse in the context of lessons and extracurricular activities, with the aim of preparing the students for a self-determined future. Future orientationis one of our strengths. We accompany our students early on into a potential professional future. We always keep an eye on the promotion of social, media and methodological skills as a solid basis. Ultimately, respect is the sixth cornerstone of our mission statement.
